Sagamore Pear Sour

Pear is an underdog flavor that shines in this unique take on a classic sour. Fresh is best.

Single Serve

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey
  • 2 oz Pear Juice
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Cinnamon Syrup*
  • One Fresh Pear
  • Lemon & Ground Cinnamon for garnish

Directions

  1. Cut pear into quarters and remove core. Place ¼ into shaker and muddle.
  2. Add Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey, pear juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup.
  3. Add ice and shake until cold.
  4. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and ground cinnamon.
    *Cinnamon Syrup: Mix one cup each of water and sugar with two cinnamon sticks in a small pot. Cook on med-low heat until sugar is dissolved and reduce to a simmer for 10-minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator. Yields 1 ½ cups.

  • 1 Bottle Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey
  • 32 oz Pear Juice
  • 8 oz Lemon Juice
  • 8 oz Cinnamon Syrup**
  • Three Fresh Pears
  • Lemon & Ground Cinnamon for garnish

Directions

  1. Core and cut the pears and place into pitcher.
  2. Add Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey, pear juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup.
  3. Add ice and stir until cold.
  4. Pour into rocks glasses and garnish with a lemon wheel and ground cinnamon.
    *Making ahead? Mix your batch to store in the fridge but add lemon juice just before serving.
