Sagamore Pear Sour

Pear is an underdog flavor that shines in this unique take on a classic sour. Fresh is best.

Single Serve

Ingredients
  • 1.5 oz Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey
  • 2 oz Pear Juice
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Cinnamon Syrup*
  • One Fresh Pear
  • Lemon & Ground Cinnamon for garnish
Directions
  • Cut pear into quarters and remove core. Place ¼ into shaker and muddle.
  • Add Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey, pear juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup.
  • Add ice and shake until cold.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and ground cinnamon.
    *Cinnamon Syrup: Mix one cup each of water and sugar with two cinnamon sticks in a small pot. Cook on med-low heat until sugar is dissolved and reduce to a simmer for 10-minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator. Yields 1 ½ cups.

Ingredients
  • 1 Bottle Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey
  • 32 oz Pear Juice
  • 8 oz Lemon Juice
  • 8 oz Cinnamon Syrup**
  • Three Fresh Pears
  • Lemon & Ground Cinnamon for garnish
Directions
  • Core and cut the pears and place into pitcher.
  • Add Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey, pear juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup.
  • Add ice and stir until cold.
  • Pour into rocks glasses and garnish with a lemon wheel and ground cinnamon.
    *Making ahead? Mix your batch to store in the fridge but add lemon juice just before serving.
