Think You Make the Country's Best Rye Whiskey Cocktail?

Register today to compete in the second annual Sagamore Spirit Cocktail Showdown! Three winners, one from each of the West, Central, and East regions, will face off in the National Finals at the Sagamore Spirit Distillery in Baltimore, Maryland this September.

West, Central, and East regional competitions will be held virtually and streamed live over multiple digital platforms. The top three contestants, based on votes below, will compete.

Regional finalists are welcome to set up at a home bar or an account of their choice. A panel of judges will receive the finalists’ recipes in advance and make each cocktail during the live broadcast. We encourage the use of approachable and easily accessible cocktail ingredients. If you choose to use a spirit, mixer, or homemade ingredient that is not easily accessible, please provide a viable substitution. Judges will make cocktails remotely and providing substitutions will ensure cocktails are judged fairly. All cocktails must be made with Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye Whiskey. Cocktails will be judged on presentation, taste, and originality.

Regional winners receive $500 cash and a two-night stay at the Sagamore Pendry Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland during the National Finals. The National Finals will take place on September 28th in front a live audience* and broadcasted live.

One grand prize winner will receive $1,000 cash.

*Sagamore Spirit prioritizes the safety of its teammates and guests and will follow all local and state guidelines for in-person gatherings.
